In commemoration of the life and legacy Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the bells of St. Patrick’s Cathedral will toll 39 times this evening at 7:05 PM., marking the 50th anniversary of his assassination.

The Mass of the Last Supper on Holy Thursday, March 29, 2018, will be celebrated by Archbishop of New York Timothy Cardinal Dolan at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 5:30 PM. Following the Mass there will be a procession with the Blessed Sacrament through the Cathedral to the Repository at the Lady Chapel for Adoration and prayer.

The Ike Sturm Ensemble will be performing a sacred work for chamber jazz ensemble and string quartet titled “Wide + Free” at the Sanctuary of St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday, January 25, 2017 at 7PM. The piece is inspired by Psalm 19 and features Grammy-nominated soloist Sara Caswell as well as the conductor of University of Notre Dame’s Folk Choir, J.J. Wright.
